What Is Food Grade LSR?
Food grade liquid silicone rubber (LSR) is a two-component silicone elastomer designed for applications where the finished silicone component may come into contact with food or is intended for baby-care products.
LSR is supplied as two liquid components that are precisely mixed before being injected into a heated mold. The material then rapidly crosslinks and forms the final silicone component.
Compared with conventional solid silicone rubber molding, LSR injection molding enables automated production of complex, high-precision silicone components with consistent part quality and efficient cycle times.
