The production process of liquid silicone rubber mainly includes the following steps:
Raw material preparation: This is the starting point of liquid silicone rubber production. The base polymer (such as polydimethylsiloxane, PDMS), crosslinker, catalyst and other additives need to be accurately weighed. Select suitable fillers and other additives to improve the performance of the material.
Mixing: The base polymer, crosslinker and catalyst are mixed evenly according to the preset ratio. This process can be completed by mechanical stirring or ultrasonic dispersion to ensure that all components are fully integrated and avoid stratification.
Degassing: The mixed material enters the vacuum degassing system to remove the mixed air and avoid bubbles in the finished product.
Injection molding: The process of injecting the mixed material into the mold. This process requires the equipment to have high-precision control capabilities to ensure the dimensional consistency and surface quality of the product. Injection speed, temperature and pressure are all important parameters that affect the molding effect.
Vulcanization: Vulcanization is the last step in the production process of liquid silicone rubber. The base glue and curing agent in the mixture are cross-linked by heating to form a stable three-dimensional network structure. The choice of vulcanization conditions (such as temperature, time and pressure) directly affects the mechanical strength and durability of the product.
